We connect skilled Retrofit Designers with contractors, consultancies, and housing providers delivering ECO4, GBIS, and SHDF programmes across the UK. Our network offers clear QA standards, fair pay, and compliant workflows, giving you the structure and support to design safe, effective whole-house retrofit solutions
Retrofit Designers convert assessment data and property conditions into safe, compliant and cost-effective upgrade plans in line with PAS 2035:2023.
They scope appropriate measures (e.g. IWI, EWI, RIR, ventilation, heating, fabric-first strategies), produce technical drawings, coordinate closely with the Retrofit Coordinator and support installers through to handover.
We place Retrofit Designers on fabric-first, low-carbon, and multi-measure programmes nationwide. You'll work within our Quality-First Delivery Framework, ensuring consistent documentation, strong QA support, and faster TrustMark approvals.
Retrofit Talent's Designers operate within our Quality-First Delivery Framework, ensuring every design meets PAS 2035 and TrustMark requirements.
Your role is central to producing compliant, evidence-backed designs that support ECO4, SHDF, and GBIS delivery — protecting funding integrity and resident safety at every step.
Our delivery model is built around clarity, compliance, and fast approvals, giving both Designers and delivery partners a consistent, audit-ready workflow on every project.
Per-unit or day-rate engagement depending on project scope, agreed upfront so you always know how your work is structured and paid.
Before you begin, we confirm the required outputs, evidence standards, and turnaround expectations. This ensures alignment with PAS 2035, TrustMark requirements, and the client's delivery programme.
Every design package is reviewed through our Quality-First Framework. This reduces rework, protects funding integrity, and ensures your documentation meets audit expectations the first time.
Approved outputs are submitted with full evidence to the client, with clear communication throughout and timely payment on completed work.
When you join Retrofit Talent, you become part of a specialist professional network built around accuracy, quality, and trust in retrofit design.
